NetFest is the mass participation netball event of Netball Australia. It offers players a choice of outdoor or beach netball tournaments. The Gold Coast is the ideal place for netballers and is the favourite holiday destination of netball enthusiasts.
Anyone, male or female over 18 can join Netfest. Newbies or those aspiring to be an Aussie Diamond can opt to play the traditional outdoor netball or the new netball beach format either in a competitive or social format. There is sure to be a division suited for everyone.
NetFest 2011 attracted 62 teams while Netball 2012 helped gather 134 teams from all over Australia and New Zealand. More teams are expected to join for Netfest 2013.
Every netball stream requires a round robin tournament played for three sessions. If you plan to enter, choose the competition stream you want to play in.
The netball beach and outdoor competitions will be played in sharp and short formats.
NetFest will take place on Surfers Paradise Foreshore , Hanlan and Trickett Streets, Surfers Paradise on October 17 to 20, 2013. The event is a five-minute walk from our Surfers Paradise Family Accommodation.
NetFest is presented by Netball Australia and supported by the Queensland Government.
